Josh Holden
Josh was born with sand between his feet and salt air in his lungs. As a kid, you could have found him riding his bike to old Jeff's Grocery for a few candy treats or merrily working the checkout counter at Beach Mart. (He was the strange kid standing on a milk crate so he could reach the register.)
Many years have past and after spending about five years in NYC, Josh has found a deeper respect for Holden Beach, and the serene quality of life it provides.
These days he's back in HB–-taking a break from the big city--splashing in the sea, helping with the family business, and working on any number of projects (including HoldenBeach.me.)
If you see him around town, say hello.
The Town of Holden Beach hosted a Sand Sculpture Contest today and the turn out was great. There was 11 official contestants with a few additional sculptures sprinkled in for fun.
