Town News: Lockwood Folly Dredging Update

Good News – Lockwood Folly Sand
December 12, 2010

The Army Corps of Engineers has advised the Town that the maintenance dredging of the Lockwood Folly Inlet Crossing will occur six weeks earlier than originally planned. Placement of an estimated 150,000 cubic yards of beach compatible sand will begin around January 7th near the eastern terminus of Ocean Boulevard and continue for approximately two weeks working in a westerly direction towards Ranger Street or thereabouts depending on actual sand harvest yields. All industrial type activities should be completed by the end of January.
