Town News: Weather Update Sept. 29th

Town of Holden Beach Newsletter
Weather Update

September 29, 2010

The Town has been in communications with the Brunswick County Emergency Center. Based on the information received, it looks like this storm will be limited to a major rain event with associated short term flooding on island streets. The major portion of rain is expected to occur late this evening and last into the early morning.

We recommend that people get where they need to be before nightfall and make sure to take your time in the morning. Use caution while traveling.

We do not anticipate any lasting effects from the storm. Town personnel and the Emergency Management Team will continue to monitor the situation and will make sure to pass along any important updates.

Sincerely,

David W. Hewett
