’10 Festival by the Sea Largest Yet

The Holden Beach Festival by the Sea, organized by the Holden Beach Merchants Association, just had it’s largest turnout in years.  Organizers couldn’t be more thrilled.

The event was kicked off with the ever-favorite Causeway Parade.  Local businesses and organizations made a great turn out with floats and parade decorations.  This years highlight was the 82nd Airbourne Army Marching Band.  “The crowd really enjoyed them,” says Terry Lisk, an employee of the Beach Mart.

Every year the festival brings craft and food merchants from across the state for all visitors to enjoy.  This year, there was a record number of vendors stretching beneath the Holden Beach Bridge.
