9:30 a.m. Flag Raising – Town Hall

10:00 a.m. Beach Grass Planting/ Adopt-an-Access
(Jordan Boulevard Beach Access)

1:30 p.m. Christmas Tree Planting – Bridgeview Park

County Events

Free Dump Week

County residents can bring items, except land clearing debris and household trash, to the landfill in Bolivia free of charge April 13th – 18th. You must show proof of ownership or residency.

Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Commercial vehicles will be charged normal tipping fees.

Household Hazardous Waste

The County will be at Shallotte Middle School on April 18th, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. to collect household hazardous waste. You must show proof of residency or ownership.

Some items being collected are paints, stains, insecticides, household cleaners and pool chemicals. Contact the County at (910) 253- 2524 with questions.

Brunswick County Shred Event

On April 25th, bring your files that need to be shredded to the Brunswick County Complex between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The County will have shred trucks parked in the parking lot between buildings B & G (look for the signs).

This event is free and open to all businesses, property owners and residents of Brunswick County. You do not need to remove staples or paper clips, but you do need to remove large office clips, etc.
