Beach Nourishment Set to Begin April 1st

Southwinds Dredging Company is set to begin beach nourishment activities on or about April 1st, with the project lasting approximately two weeks. The project will place an estimated 150,000 cubic yards of sand sourced from the Lockwood Folly Inner Bar on the east end strand from 337 Ocean Boulevard East extending west as far as the material holds out. Last year this same project reached down past Ranger Street.

During this period, heavy construction equipment will be accessing the beach. Please make to use extreme caution and to avoid all equipment.
