Town News: Bridge Reopening

From Mayor Alan Holden:

The Governor of North Carolina has given permission to open the island subject to local authority approval. Therefore, those with 2019 approved decals/stickers will be allowed to re-enter and cross the bridge at 12:00 noon today. The island will open to the public at 12:30 p.m., thirty minutes later today.

Brunswick County has water flowing to Holden Beach. The power is still on as it has been throughout the storm. The sewer system is almost 100%. Most of the streets are usable. Please avoid deep water.

Please be careful and avoid any and all hazards as possible.

Though the Public Works Department and Police Department continue to work, the Town Hall will not open until Monday.
Holden Beach has again dodged a bullet at the very last minute!
