Public Health Advisory
We have received confirmation from the Health Department that an employee of the Town of Holden Beach has tested positive for COVID-19. The person is isolated and has not been to work since before they began exhibiting symptoms.
The Town is in the process of instituting safety precautions to prevent the spread to other employees. Employees who have potentially been exposed will be tested. All employees will be pre-screened before entering the workplace and regular monitoring will be put in place. Common areas will be disinfected and cleaned. The Town will closely follow CDC and health department guidelines.
No additional information will be released about the employee in an effort to protect their identity.
