Town Newsletter: Safety Announcement

Public Safety Announcement

Weekend Weather – While not a major storm, this weekend’s forecasted precipitation has the potential to cause localized flooding in and around the Holden Beach area. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution.

Hurricane Reminder – It is the season to review your personal and property storm plans. Click here to access tools that will assist you in your emergency preparations. Don’t wait until the skies darken and the rain starts falling to take action.

Vehicle Decals – The 2013 vehicle decals were distributed with your water bills. Additional decals are $10 each and can be obtained by visiting Town Hall or mailing a check, along with a self addressed stamped envelope to 110 Rothschild Street, Holden Beach, NC 28462.

Decks & Walkways – Property owners are urged to inspect all decks and walkways annually to make sure that these structures remain safe to use from year to year. Should you not be able to perform the inspection yourself, the Holden Beach Inspections Department will be available to perform courtesy evaluations of decks and walkways within the Town limits. Call Pam at (910) 842-6080 to schedule an inspection.

Josh is a primary contributor to the Holden Beach Community Blog, focusing on sharing local news and event information with locals and visitors. He grew up at Holden Beach working for family businesses. As a kid, you could have found him riding his bike to old Jeff's Grocery for a few candy treats or working the checkout counter at Beach Mart.
