{"id":695,"date":"2011-01-14T12:45:40","date_gmt":"2011-01-14T17:45:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/holdenbeach.me\/?p=695"},"modified":"2013-07-03T12:57:57","modified_gmt":"2013-07-03T16:57:57","slug":"town-news-state-to-close-spotted-seatrout-harvest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/holdenbeach.me\/town-news-state-to-close-spotted-seatrout-harvest\/","title":{"rendered":"Town News: State to Close Spotted Seatrout Harvest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>State to Close Spotted Seatrout Harvest<br \/>\nJanuary 14, 2011<\/p>\n<p>North Carolina will close all coastal waters to commercial and recreational spotted seatrout harvest for an indefinite period beginning at noon Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The action is being taken in response to recent cold stun events in Rose Bay, Juniper Bay, Pungo River, Campbell Creek, Turnigan Bay, Spooners Creek and other waters. The intent of the closure is to prevent the harvest of vulnerable cold stunned fish, which may recover with warming temperatures.
