A Second Helping: Vacation Leftovers Put to Use

Do you have food and miscellaneous goodies left over from your vacation and hate to throw it all away? Share it with those in need in our community.

A Second Helping (“ASH”) is a local volunteer organization that collects leftovers from vacationers and provides it to local charities to help locals in need.

They accept ALL unused items such as canned and packaged goods, perishable foods, groceries, home goods, beach equipment, etc. Note: the only thing they can’t accept is leftover PREPARED dishes.

Perishable and non-perishable food will be distributed through the Loaves and Fishes pantry at Brunswick Islands Baptist Church and One Can Ministries at Sharon United Methodist Church. Non-food items go to Brunswick Christian Recovery Center, a men’s residential rehabilitation facility.
